We are going to focus on question #1 so that we learn how to deal with each of them little by little.
1) First, I want you to try to answer this questions taking 15 seconds to take down notes and 45 to answer the question. Please, record your answer.
- Do you agree or disagree with this statement? All school students should wear school uniforms.
2) Now, transcribe what you have said (skip the pauses and the hesitations, just focus on the script).
3) Now, we are going to start improving it. Watch this video (from minute 4:00 to 7:15) and choose/create an introductory sentence that you can always use for your answers:
4) Continue watching from minute 7:47 until 8:20 and copy the phrases for intriducing your supporting details/explanations that best suit you and try to come up with your own phrases.
5) Now watch from minute 8:53 to minute 10:14 and write some phrases that may help you exemplify your claim.
6) Now focus on minutes 10:14 to 12:30 and take down notes of the phrases you can use to introduce your second claim. You can try and come up with your own phrases, as well (have in mind that with 1 reason and 1 example you shoul be fine, the second reason and example are in case you have a lot of time left)
7) Now watch from 12:30 to 13:47 and choose some concluding sentences (remember, that concluding is totally optional). You can try to come up with your own phrases, as well.
8)Watch the video from 17:07 to 18:50 and pay attention to the tips on how to take down notes.
9) Now, let's improve your answer! Using the phrases you have selected and the tips given in the video, take the script of your previous answer and make as many modifications as possible to make it more organized.
10) Record your answer again, using the script as a guide. Was this version better?
