IELTS people

Okay, so! This week, I will ask you to please access all the Wordwall randomizing games and to record the answers to the questions you are given. There are 3 sections, and you should get one set of questions per section. This is the step by step of this week's virtual lesson.

  1. Access the link below and leave it open (you will need it for all the sections).
    1. https://www.bestmytest.com/ielts/speaking
  2. Go to the link below and spin the wheel.
    1. https://wordwall.net/resource/73038084
    2. Then, come back to the first link and look for your set of questions.
    3. Record yourself answering the questin. If possible, get someone to ask you the questions or ask them aloud yourself.
    4. Remember that this section shouldn't last longer than 4-5 minutes, and you should be able to answer to at least 80% of the questions in that section. Therefore, my advice is that you keep your answers straight to the point.
  3. Access the link below and open a random box.
    1. https://wordwall.net/resource/73038424
    2. Come back to the first link and look for your question in section 2.
    3. Take 1 minute to prepare your answer (take down notes efficiently)  and 2 minutes to answer the question aloud.
    4. Record yourself answering the question.
    5. Remember, if the bulletpoints do not help you, disregard them and talk about the topic given using your own ideas.
  4. Access the link below and draw a card from the pile.
    1. https://wordwall.net/resource/73039432
    2. Come back to the first link one last time and look for your set of questions in section 3.
    3. Record yourself answering the questin. If possible, get someone to ask you the questions or ask them aloud yourself.
    4. Remember that this section shouldn't last longer than 3-4 minutes, and you should be able to answer to at least 80% of the questions in that section.
  5. Now comes the "ugly" part. You will take some time to listen to yourself and fill in the form attatched below. That file is what is called a rubric, which is basically the description of what is expected for each of the bands
    1. First, download the file and read it thoroughly. Make sure you understand all sections.
    2. Then, listen to yourself and make some notes on good and not-so-good aspects of your performance.
    3. Now, for each section check the box that best describes your performance.
    4. Then, calculate the average band you would belong to and select the option on the dropdwon at the right.
  6. Finally, upload the 3 audio files and the rubric with your self-evaluation to the task below.
